HyperFrame

HyperFrame is a design concept for a skyscraper that incorporates a 4-story diagrid structural module outboard of the facade and eliminates the need for perimeter columns. The structural concept includes concrete-filled tubes that are covered in curved metal panels to articulate a smooth geometry from the outside and visible from within the tower. The repetition of the diagrid module reduces the number of unique panels covering the structure making up the primary expression. The idea of pushing the structure outboard of the glass line dramatically improves the quality and quantity of natural light into the building, clearing the entire perimeter of any obstructions and facilitating the usability of occupiable space.
