NewSpace Europe 2022
Luxembourg
Date: 27-28th November, 2022
This year’s NewSpace Europe, taking place on November 27-28, successfully convened over 500 participants both in person and online, all united under the theme “Bridging Earth & Space.” This theme underscored the increasing relevance of space in solving some of the most pressing global challenges, as highlighted by Franz Fayot, Luxembourg’s Minister of the Economy, in his compelling opening address.
The conference offered an extensive program featuring five main tracks, each delving into the symbiotic relationship between Earthly endeavors and space innovations. Keynote sessions provided thought-provoking insights into future space missions and technologies, while panel discussions fostered a dynamic exchange of ideas among leading experts across various industries. Participants had the opportunity to explore how space technologies are being integrated into sectors like agriculture, where satellite data optimizes farming techniques; the automotive industry, where space-grade engineering contributes to vehicle safety and performance; healthcare, where space-developed technologies enhance medical diagnostics and treatments; construction, which benefits from materials and techniques developed for space habitats; and investment strategies that support the burgeoning space economy.
The event also facilitated networking opportunities, enabling startups, established companies, and policymakers to forge partnerships that aim to translate space technologies into practical applications. By focusing on the connections between terrestrial activities and space applications, NewSpace Europe 2020 effectively highlighted the potential for space to enhance global sustainability and economic growth.
